Healthy....Ready, Go for Phase 2!!

So for those of you who don't know, I gave up drinking pop on July 5, 2009. This was just an attempt to be healthier. My husband also did this with me. We've done great! Now I think it's time to move on to the next phase. Time to add to the list of things to give up. Fast food is now on Strike 3!! You're OUT!!

There is only one situation I told Chad that we could eat it in and that's while traveling. Only because if your traveling it's cheaper and faster just to grab something from a fast food restaurant then anything else. This shouldn't happen too horribly often anyways. It's not like we travel far all the time. So wish us good luck on this next phase!! We'll need it! :0)

97 Years

I went today to visit my Great Grandma Wilbur, who is now 97 years old. Last weekend she was moved out of her house due to a stroke. She moved into the house of the nurse that was coming in a couple times a day to check on her.

It's so hard to see her the way she is now. She is so fragile! She can't really get around on her own. When we got there she was sleeping. She actually dozed most of the time I was there. I would talk to her and then she would go back to sleep. I was not sure if she realized who I even was. She had such a hard time keeping her eyes open. At one point I was talking to her when she was trying to sleep and she asked me who I was talking to because I was talking to myself and making noise. Terrie says she will say things like that and then be the sweetest lady the next time. I think she is very disoriented most of the time. There was one point when Terrie told her that my mom and I were there and that we had come to see her because we loved her and she sounded like she didn't realize that she was loved. I made sure I let her know I love her and she looked at me and said, "Thank you, I love you Salena."

My Handsome Boy

Well fall is drawing to an end and almost all the leaves have fallen out of the trees. So many people that have small children have taken pictures with their child sitting in the middle of a pile of leaves with just their head peeking out. Chad and I decided that we should try this with the dog just so we don't feel left out. So I went outside, raked up a big pile and bribed Jax into the middle. We got the greatest picture out of the whole deal. I think it's great anyways so I'm trying to enter it into some contest. I definitely think it's worthy. H1N1??

So I'm almost finished with day 5 of my low grade temp. I run anywhere from 99-99.7. Occasionally my back or neck aches but it's not all the time. I do have a cough and it was worse today then any of the others. I have no clue if what I have really is H1N1 or if it's some other kind of infection. Not really any way to find out. The hospital tells me that the test to find out if you have H1N1 or not costs between $500-$1,500!! Craziness! I guess insurance is not covering this. On top of that, the hospitals tell you they want you to stay home if you have a fever so that your not affecting others in the waiting room but then they won't answer any questions you have over the phone! How annoying! It really makes me want to go sit in their waiting room..

That's Life

Since no one is on myspace anymore and I miss being able to post blogs I decided to start one here since facebook does not have a blog. My life is anything but exciting..sometimes you just want a place to share or vent. I would like to let everyone know now that if you have problems with things being shared and think that everything should be private then you should just stop reading now. I will not censor what I want to say on here. This is a place for me to share my thoughts and opinions with my friends and family. I hope everyone enjoys my blog. :0)
